        We are looking forward to a great November at the Children’s Center.  Please look at the newsletter for important information about what is going on at the center.

 

Parent Reminders

            Please call the center any time that your child will not be here as scheduled.

            Every child should have a full change of clothes in their locker.

            Breakfast is served until 8:00 a.m.  If you plan to arrive after 8:00 a.m. and your child will need breakfast please feed them before they come.

            Children who are being transported by the Dial-A-Ride or school bus need to be at the center no later than 8:00 a.m.

 

Campbell’s Soup

            Please continue to save your soup labels.  We have an opportunity to earn free items for the center by turning in the approved labels.  All labels can be placed in the soup can in the entry way.  THANKS!

 

 

Save And Bring In Items

            Thank you to everyone who has brought in items on the save and bring in list.  We will continue to save the items on the list and we have a few additions.

We are now also looking for clean meat trays, pie tins and brown grocery bags.

 

 

Pre-School news

            About our Private Pre-School Program: We use the Zoo Phonics program to teach letter sounds and letter recognition.  We will continue to use our faith-based curriculum, Hearts and Hands, for Pre-Schoolers.

 

            This month we will focus on the following concepts:

 

Letters: e f & g

Number: 3

Color: Brown

Bible Stories: Moses and the Burning Bush, Walls of Water and The Desert

 

Show-N-Tell

            All Pre-School classes will have show-n-tell every Thursday for the letter of the week.  We will do e-g this month.

 

 

Pre-School Thanksgiving Diner

            We would like to invite you to join your Pre-School age child at our annual Thanksgiving Diner.  It will be held on November 26th at the American Legion at 10:30 a.m.  The children are working on a presentation and then we will enjoy a Thanksgiving Diner together.  Please reserve your spots with Miss Judy by early next week.  We would like to get a count so we can have the right amount of food catered in.

 

School-Age News

            Buchanan Schools will be closed November 14th and November 26th.  Please let us know if your School-Aged child will be here.  We need to have the appropriate staffing and enough food for lunch.
